We can do things for ourselves or we can pay others to do them for us.
Over the last hundred years, there’s been an enormous shift away from self-reliance toward dependency. We’ve become utterly dependent on vastly complex systems, that few fully understand, and leave us vulnerable to sudden change.
But what if there’s a breakdown? What if existing systems can’t provide us with all we need?
In a climate crisis, now seems as good a time as any to reconsider the insanity of scale in our 'optimised' economies.
So much infrastructure, energy and resources, so we can eat strawberries in December!
